Start your day right with this immune-boosting drink.
When you wake up after a long sleep, your body is naturally dehydrated. no matter how much water you drank the day before, you have used up your stores and it’s time to refill the tank.
Add some strong antioxidants such as turmeric that has also a powerful anti-inflammatory effect, and ginger, which is used to help digestion and reduce nausea. Thanks to gingerol, the bioactive substance in fresh ginger, it helps to lower the risk of infections and therefore fight the flu and common cold.
1 teaspoon of fresh Ginger
1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder
1 pinch of Cayenne Pepper
1 pinch of Black Pepper
1 teaspoon of Honey
Add grated fresh ginger, turmeric powder, cayenne pepper, a slice of non treated lemon and black pepper into a pot of 300ml of water and bring to the boil.
Let the mix simmer for 10 minutes.
Strain the mixure into a cup.
Add honey and juice from 1/2 lemon.
